Ride with Joey Rosskopff Fundraiser for Juniors Team
Sun, December 2, 2018 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM EST
This is actually two events. You can do either or both. The first is a 25 mile social pace bike ride starting at 3 PM from the Three Taverns Craft Brewery in Decatur with pro tour rider from Decatur, GA Joey Rosskopf and our juniors team.
The second event is a social gathering, reception, Q&A session with Joey and a silent auction starting at 5 PM at the Three Taverns Craft Brewery.
All the benefits for this event go towards our juniors team and the Atlanta Bicycle Coilition. For details and tickets to the events, check out the link below.
About Joey Rosskopf
Joey is the current and two-time USA Time Trial Champion, a Decatur native and a ProTour rider with BMC since 2015. He races extensively in Europe, including the 2015 and 2018 Vuelta de Espana and 2016 and 2017 Giro d’Italia. His palmares include Overall Winner of Tour du Limousin (2016), winner of the 2015 Vuelta de Espana Stage 1 (team time trial), and 2nd place winner in the 2018 Vuelta Stage 16 individual time trial. Joey recently signed a two-year contract to race the UCI World Tour for CCC, the successor team to BMC, beginning in 2019.
About Mission Devo Junior Cycling Team
The Mission Devo Junior Cycling Team is dedicated to the goal that financial resources will not be a limiting factor for any child who has shown a commitment to cycling and displayed the ability to work well in a team environment. We strongly believe that we can influence kids, across all demographics, to discover the joy of cycling and the healthy lifestyle that follows. A working goal of this program is to identify and support juniors who lack the available resources to take their love of cycling to the next level.
